RLCraft has a separate download for the server pack. To install it, set up a Forge server using the installer as normal. Then, before launching it, copy the contents of the download into the server and read the contained text files. 1) Minecraft.com is NOT minecraft's website, minecraft.NET is. Minecraft.com seems to be some actual mineing company IRL. 2) That seems to be a REALLY old REALLY early version of the 1.6 beta launcher. My Minecraft launcher isn't opening and every time I try to open the launcher the loading sign pops up next to my mouse for half of a second then goes away leaving nothing. I have tried everything I know, I have uninstalled then reinstalled multiple times, I have gone into the .minecraft files and tried everything I know. I see some other people are having this problem too, I am trying to run 100% vanilla Minecraft on the new launcher but it keeps stuck at 'Preparing', I've tried other profiles, shutting down the launcher and re opening multiple times, logging out and in my MC account, nothing.

To prevent this from happening in the future, open the launcher and click Settings. You should see an option to keep the launcher open while the game is running. Select that. That'll make it so when you hit play, one of the following will happen: The launcher won't respond, and if you close it, Minecraft will boot up like normal (most likely).
